Reservations and Shift Changes
Families create and cancel shifts exclusively through our mobile app (available for Android and iPhone users). You will receive your login information after completing your Family profile. Questions, concerns, and general customer service should be directed to Babysitters’ Club via contact form on our website.
Service Permissions
By using our service, you give permission to Babysitters’ Club to select a Sitter for your family. We provide extensive internal training, First Aid training, psychological testing and background checks for all of our Sitters.
Sitter Responsibilities
While on duty, your Sitter is responsible for the well-being of your children. Sitters are responsible for: taking care of your children, going outside, school and activity pick-up/drop-off, preparing light meals, feeding, changing diapers, bathing, reading, supervising with homework (NOT tutoring), dressing, helping put away toys, putting away dishes used by the Sitter or/and the children during the shift. Sitters are NOT responsible for housekeeping (including vacuuming, ironing, dishes not dirtied by them or/and the children during the shift, cleaning the bathroom, grocery shopping).
Services and Payment Options
You will be able to view all of your shifts and outstanding payments at any time through our mobile application. New clients are given a grace period of two shifts before choosing a payment plan. Previously used hours will be either taken off of the chosen package or charged at the Pay-As-You-Go rate.
Pay-As-You-Go Service: Invoiced on the 1st of the month for the previous month, or right after the service is provided for one-time clients. Payment should be made within 5 days.
Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Packages: Non-refundable, non-transferable, and valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Payment is required in advance. If your account goes into the minus (i.e. your Package runs out and you haven’t purchased a new one), all hours in the minus will be charged at our Pay-As-You-Go rate.
Travel: A deposit (60%) is required one week (7 days) before the departure date. An invoice for the remainder (40%) will be sent to your e-mail upon your return. Payment should be made within 5 days.
Sleepover: Starts after 4pm and includes up to 16 hours of babysitting. Additional hours will be charged either at the Pay-As-You-Go rate or through your Package. Has to be scheduled as such beforehand, and once confirmed, it will be charged fully even for shorter shifts. It is either invoiced monthly or paid through one of the Packages.
Around the clock: Starts at any time and includes up to 24 hours of babysitting. Additional hours will be charged either at the Pay-As-You-Go rate or through your Package. Has to be scheduled as such beforehand, and once confirmed, it will be charged fully even for shorter shifts. It is either invoiced monthly or paid through one of the Packages.
Full day sitting: Starts by 12pm at the latest and includes up to 8 hours of babysitting. Additional hours will be charged either at the Pay-As-You-Go rate or through your Package. Has to be scheduled as such beforehand, and once confirmed, it will be charged fully even for shorter shifts. It is either invoiced monthly or paid through one of the Packages.
Animation: Includes an activity plan, materials and animators. Price depends on the length of the animation, as well as the age and number of children. It is invoiced after the service is provided or paid through one of the Packages.
Additional Notes
Payment is NOT made directly to the Sitter at the end of the shift.
Two hours (2h) is the base charge for a shift, even for shorter sitting requests.
Payment will be charged in increments of 30 minutes for each started increment (e.g. a shift ending at 10:10h will be charged until 10:30h).
For shifts requested less than 3h before the starting time, or after 10pm for the following morning, an additional 1h will be charged.
For shifts cancelled less than 3 hours before the starting time, a penalty of two hours (2h) will be charged to your account.
Shifts that end after the last day bus are considered late night shifts and the family is obligated to provide taxi fare/ride for the Sitter. This should be given directly to the Sitter at the end of the shift.
Please inform us of any health concerns (fever, runny nose, chickenpox, etc.) via mobile app when scheduling a shift.
